Jeremy Clarkson Reveals Aggressive Prostate Cancer Diagnosis During Clarkson’s Farm Season Finale

elevision presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, sharing the news during the latest season of his popular TV series Clarkson’s Farm.

The revelation came in the final episodes of the show’s fifth season, released on Wednesday. Although the exact timing of the diagnosis was not confirmed, the series was filmed during 2024 and 2025. Clarkson, 66, informed fellow cast members Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland about his condition, leaving both visibly shocked.

Speaking candidly on the programme, Clarkson explained that doctors discovered the cancer following a biopsy. He described the disease as aggressive but said it had been identified at an early stage, increasing the chances of successful treatment. He revealed that part of his prostate had been removed during surgery and said he had known about the diagnosis since May.

Reassuring those around him, Clarkson said he expected to recover and only needed a short period away from work. During a later conversation with Kaleb Cooper, he confirmed the cancer was located in a section of his prostate and explained that doctors had removed the affected area as part of his treatment.

The presenter also spoke about the uncertainty surrounding his recovery, telling co-star Gerald that he had undergone the operation and was waiting to learn whether the procedure had been fully successful. The season concluded with Clarkson shown recovering in a hospital bed, where he reflected on the challenges he had faced throughout filming.

In an emotional closing message, he acknowledged that complications from treatment had kept him in hospital longer than expected. Clarkson expressed hope that he would return for a sixth season of the series but admitted the outcome would depend on the success of his ongoing recovery.

Ahead of the episodes’ release, Clarkson posted a message on social media warning fans that the final instalments of the season would be difficult to watch. Health concerns have featured prominently throughout the latest series, which began with the presenter discussing a heart procedure he underwent in October 2024.

At the time, Clarkson revealed that one of the arteries supplying blood to his heart was completely blocked while another was severely restricted. Doctors inserted a stent to restore blood flow and reduce the risk of further complications.

Clarkson remains one of Britain’s most recognisable television personalities. He rose to prominence as the lead presenter of Top Gear between 2002 and 2015 before later co-hosting The Grand Tour alongside Richard Hammond and James May. Since launching Clarkson’s Farm in 2021, the programme has become one of the most successful factual entertainment series in the UK, documenting his efforts to run a farm in the Cotswolds alongside partner Lisa Hogan.
