Sydney Sweeney’s Devil Wears Prada 2 Cameo Removed from Final Cut

Sydney Sweeney’s highly anticipated appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been officially removed from the final version of the film, despite earlier reports suggesting she had filmed a cameo role.

The Euphoria star was widely expected to appear in the sequel after being spotted on set during production in 2025. According to reports, Sweeney filmed a short scene in which she played herself, interacting with Emily Blunt’s character in a fashion-related sequence. However, the scene did not make it into the final edit of the movie.

Sources close to the production revealed that the decision to remove her appearance was purely creative. Filmmakers reportedly felt that the cameo did not fit naturally within the structure of the film, leading to its removal during post-production.

Interestingly, some earlier speculation had suggested that Sweeney might not have been part of the film at all, with screenwriters dismissing rumours of her involvement. However, later reports confirmed that she had indeed filmed a scene, reinforcing how common last-minute changes are in major productions.

The sequel itself marks the return of original stars including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, alongside several new additions. The film revisits the world of Runway magazine, this time set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving fashion industry shaped by digital media and changing trends.

Despite Sweeney’s absence, the film still features a wide range of celebrity appearances and cameos, reflecting the growing influence of real-world fashion and entertainment figures within the storyline.

Industry experts note that such changes are common in large-scale productions, where scenes are often cut to improve pacing, storytelling, or overall structure. While Sweeney’s removal may disappoint fans, it does not reflect negatively on her performance or involvement.
